Your humble correspondent thinks that it is a great thing for people to join our armed forces because they want to serve our country, or learn a new skill, or grow up.
However, she doesn't think that they should be forced into leaving a sick spouse by joining the army because that is the only way for the family to get health insurance.
Kinda gives you a new perspective on "public option," doesn't it?

Karen - This article reads more like a "No, we don't have a lack of jobs problem in this county" rather than your heading.
And the way the present elected officials in DC are approaching the 'health insurance problem?', is not going to make the creation and retention of jobs any better - it will actually eliminate more of them!
No, we don't have a health insurance problem in this country - we have a lack of common sense on the part of our elected representatives - from BOTH parties.
How were problems in the Caudle family handled before we had health insurance in our country? To answer this question please realize that MOST of our hospitals in the country were started by religious groups - all three of ours in Fort Wayne were begun by groups such as these - Lutheran, Parkview was Methodist, and St. Joeseph. And why are none of these operated under religious groups today? I believe it is because religious groups no longer feel that their beneficent & financial support is necessary - government and health insurance companies have taken over the funding of their business!
