NO SAT MEETING--INAUGURATON WATCH PARTY DETAILS

THE BAD NEWS that there is no heat at ACDP headquarters-it seems the recent ice storm and power outage seriously damaged our furnace which is located on the roof of the building.  The temperature both inside and out is "Really, Really Cold" so we will be unable to hold the monthly meeting there on Saturday.   We have explored other venues, but at this late date it wasn't possible to secure a spot and still give adequate notice of the change.  HOPEFULLY we will resolve this problem soon, but even if we aren't please note that we will have our State of the Party Address in Feb and hopefully it will be at our HQ.   OUR APOLOGIES for the change, we will reschedule the Jan. program.

 

The GOOD NEWS is that we have secured a great spot for the Inauguration Watch Party and have a fun event planned.   We will hold the event at NOTE CORRECTED ADDRESS IS 323 W. BAKER STREET in the Come2Go Ministries building.  This is where many local bands hold concerts and the central location and the layout of the space are really great for this event.  With several large screens, cable access and an incredible sound system everyone will have a great seat to experience the DC festivities. The event will run from 10:00am-2:00 pm.   There is no charge to get in and the hosts ( ACDP and MoveOn.Org) will provide free coffee and rolls in the morning. We will offer a light lunch for a very modest price of $2.  (Likely Hot Dog/Chips/Tea etc and/or Pizza/Chips/etc) at 11:30.
