Gail Waymire

My best friend is faithfully a Republican. She also is thoughtful and wise. She thinks I am the most intelligent woman she knows, but I would trade 50% of my intellect for 5% of her wisdom.

She woke up one morning this week and wrote down the first thoughts that came to her about the election. I am honored that she shared them with me, and have her permission to share them with you.

"Jeremiah Wright, Tony Resko, and William Ayres do not terrorize me. What DOES terrorize me are the people who brought down the economy in America. I haven't seen a face or profile on them yet. I do see the suspects - they still hold office in our government. Our tax dollars are being given to the CEOs and management of companies they brought down, and they want me to believe they won't do it again.

"I am terrorized by insurance companies from whom I have to purchase health care coverage that is too little for too much.

"I am terrorized by the education that my grandchildren receive from education systems that hire William Ayres to teach the future leaders of our country.

"I am terrorized by a legal system that slaps the hand of parents who kill or rape their children, but that sends marijuana users to prison.

"I am terrorized by the possibility that a woman whom I genuinely admire and respect-- but whom know is unqualified -- could become President of the United States.

"I am voting for Barack Obama because he does not terrorize me. He gives me hope."
